Indiana State Police Employees Receive Service Awards

Peru – Lieutenant Jeremy Kelly, district commander of the Indiana State Police Peru Post, recently recognized five Indiana State Police employees for their continued excellent service to the community during a meeting of the Indiana State Police at the Peru Post.

Master Trooper Detective Mike Tarrh of Howard County was recognized for 1.3 million safe driving miles. Sergeant Rick Brown of Miami County was recognized for 800,000 safe driving miles. Trooper Eric Treon of Grant County was acknowledged for 200,000 safe driving miles. Trooper Ben Reason of Fulton County was recognized for 50,000 safe driving miles.

Master Trooper Paul Daugherty of Miami County was awarded a longevity pin and certificate recognizing his 30 years of service to the department.

Troopers drive their police cars approximately 40,000 miles per year. They are recognized for safe driving starting at 50,000 miles. They are recognized for years of service every five years.
