On December 7, 2014 at approximately 2:33 A.M., Burlington Police came across a motor vehicle accident that had just occurred at the intersection of Pearl St. and South Willard St. in Burlington.
It was determined that Spencer Campbell, age 26 of Burlington, was operating a Honda Accord northbound on South Willard St. when he struck an Audi station wagon being operated by Nicholas Golovach, age 34 of Williston. Investigation revealed that Spencer failed to stop for a flashing red light at the intersection and collided with Golovach’s vehicle. Golovach was travelling eastbound on Pearl St. at the time.
Both vehicles were inoperable following the accident and towed from the scene. Golovach was transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for evaluation; he does not appear to have any serious injuries. Spencer was processed for suspicion of Driving While under the Influence and subsequently cited to appear at the Chittenden Superior Court on December 23, 2014 for the offense.
