On 12-4-14, the Burlington Police Department executed a State of Vermont Search Warrant on the residence of John E. Nolan relating to an investigation involving the sale of heroin in the Old North End of Burlington.
Nolan’s activities were brought to the attention of police by several calls from concerned citizens in the neighborhood surrounding Nolan’s residence. Additionally Burlington Police and Burlington Fire and Rescue have responded to two incidents of drug overdose at Nolan’s residence. The Burlington Police Department Street Crimes Unit conducted the investigation which culminated with the execution of a search warrant and Nolan’s arrest. Nolan is being charged with Sale of Heroin (felony) and Possession of Heroin (felony).
During entry into the residence Nolan was attempting to flush evidence and remained uncooperative relating to where he obtained the heroin. A subsequent search of Nolan’s residence yielded approximately fifty bags of heroin packaged for sale.
Nolan’s criminal history shows multiple convictions for drug related offenses to include Possession of Heroin among others.
