Have you lost a holiday package recently? The Lemon Grove Sheriff's Substation is looking to return stolen packages and merchandise to owners.
A Grinch suspected in connection with the theft of holiday packages in the East County is now in custody. The thefts started November 21st and were reported in Lemon Grove, Spring Valley and unincorporated areas of El Cajon.
Home surveillance video (http://goo.gl/0OSjLN) from one of the victims led detectives to arrest 37-year-old Martha Lampley (DOB: 04/13/1977). She is booked at Las Colinas Jail on burglary charges, as well as violating her parole for possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. More charges are pending against Lampley. Detectives also searched a storage unit in connection with the thefts and discovered stolen packages and merchandise.
Some of the stolen packages were returned to their owners on December 3rd. We are hoping to return more.
