The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with Senior Services to present information on current scams happening here, in McHenry County. The presentation will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Senior Services at McHenry Township in Johnsburg.
Scams that target our community are always changing. This quarterly educational series will provide information on holiday scams and information on the current trends observed in the last three months. Tips will be given on what to watch out for, how to protect yourself, and what to do if you become a victim.
This presentation is designed to provide helpful information for all McHenry County residents. Those who are caregivers to a senior or are a senior themselves are especially encouraged to participate because often seniors are the targeted victims.
