TEST TEST WINTER PARKING BAN TEST TEST

TEST TEST TEST WINTER PARKING BAN TEST TEST TEST
A City of Burlington parking ban can be declared any time the current road conditions or expected conditions indicate that it may be necessary to plow Burlington City Streets.
A ban must be declared by 3:00 PM to be effective at 10:00 PM that night in the residential areas of the City and by 12:00 AM to be effective in the business area. Bans last until 7:00 AM in the residential area and 6:00 AM in the business area.
Parking is prohibited on all Burlington streets and surface parking lots. You may park in the City owned garages from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Parking is not allowed on the top (roof) floor of the garages. Parking spaces are very limited and the garages have been full in previous years.
Vehicles that remain in the roadway or lots are subject to a $125.00 parking ticket and are towed to another location within the City. Vehicles that remain in the towed location are retowed after three days to the impoundment lot.
As soon as a ban has been declared a message will be sent to all members of the parking ban group. You can also call 802-658-SNOW for taped information.
Remember to check the status of parking bans as some are continued into a second night.
