Teen Arrested for Driving 100 mph on US 41
Knox County – This afternoon at approximately 2:34, Master Trooper Gary Goodman was participating in Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) on US 41when he clocked a 1998 Toyota at 100 mph near Airport Road. The driver was identified as Pishon Powell, 19, of Hartford, CT. Further investigation revealed Powell attends college in Terre Haute and was trying to get to work. Powell also had never received a driver’s license. He was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.
Operation C.A.R.E. is a federally funded program and allows additional troopers to patrol area highways during holiday periods.

1. Reckless Driving (100 mph in a 60 mph zone)
2. Operating a Vehicle while Never Licensed
