Debris fire in the 8100 block of Woodbridge Parkway West of Walmart near Cody Lane and Woodbridge Parkway continues to burn 
On the evening of 11/26/2014 the Sachse Fire Department responded to a debris fire in the area of Cody Lane and Woodbridge Pkwy. A large pile of mulch left over from development in the area had caught fire. Due to the density of the mulch the fire could not be completely extinguished and will most likely smolder for several days causing quite a bit of smoke in the area. The city, fire and police are aware of the situation and the fire department is continually monitoring the area in case the fire re-ignites. The fire department has advised there is no immediate cause for concern.
As of Sunday 11-30-2014 the debris fire continues to burn. The fire department still advises there is no immediate cause for concern as it is being continuously monitored.
