Crime Description / Code: Robbery/Penal Code 211

Suspect(s): Light skinned black male adult, in his 20’s, 5’10” tall, short mustache, shoulder length bushy hair, medium build, wearing a gray/black baseball cap, a black pea coat, white shirt, and blue jeans.

Suspect Vehicle: Unknown

On Saturday, November 29th at approximately 5:15 pm, the Walnut Creek Police Department received a call that a robbery had just occurred at the Safeway grocery market located at 600 S. Broadway. The suspect (described above) presented the cashier with a note that stated he was armed and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The employee was not injured during the robbery.
