Main Street in Downtown Forest City, NC will be closed starting at 5:00 pm today for both directions of travel due to the Forest City Christmas lighting ceremony. Main Street will be closed from Cherry Mountain Street to North Powell Street until approximately 9:00 pm.
The Christmas lighting activities will begin at 6:00 pm with the lighting of the Christmas lights at 7:00 pm.
Those wishing to avoid the street closure should utilize Trade Street and/or Oak Streets.
