INCIDENT: Major Injury Traffic Collision

LOCATION: Hesperia Road and Ottawa street, Victorville

INVOLVED PARTY #1: James Bowser of Victorville

INVOLVED PARTY #2: Dinahmari Closas of Colton


SUMMARY:

On Tuesday, November 25th, 2014, at approximately 1347 hours, Victorville deputies were dispatched to a report of an unknown- injury vehicle collision on Hesperia Road, near Ottawa street in the city of Victorville. The collision involved two vehicles.

Through the investigation it was found that Bowser was traveling southbound on Hesperia road. Closas was traveling northbound on Hesperia road. Bowser drove off the roadway edge into the dirt then drove back onto the roadway. As Bowser drove back on the roadway he drove across the southbound lanes onto the northbound lanes. Bowser’s vehicle collided into Closas’ vehicle causing the collision. Bowser was transported to Victor Valley Hospital for major injuries and was in critical condition. Closas sustained injuries to her head and chest and was transported to Desert Valley Hospital for further medical treatment.

Hesperia Road was closed to traffic in both directions in the area of the collision until approximately 8:00 p.m. This is an ongoing investigation by the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT).
