The car caught on fire as fire personnel arrived and extinguished the flames, before removing the 17 year old male front passenger.

The male driver, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, was declared dead at the scene. The passenger was transported to Western Medical Center, Santa Ana where he was treated for a possible broken jaw. The collision is presently under investigation. No additional details are being released at this time. Witnesses should contact Traffic Investigator Darren Wood at 714-754-5264.
