Stevenson Ranch, Zone 3, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information. Snapshot for 11/17/2014 to 11/23/2014.
Last week in Zone 3, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
Two residential burglaries occurred. No signs of forced entry in either incident. Residents were not home at the time of the loss. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station Detectives.
A shoplifting occurred from a business on The Old Road in Stevenson Ranch. The suspect was arrested for the theft. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
Here are a few safety tips to keep in mind year round:
- Store the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station non-emergency number as a “favorite” on your cellular phone: (661) 255-1121. The same personnel who answer 9-1-1, answer the non-emergency number in order of priority.
- Don’t advertise vacation plans or out-of-town social gatherings in advance. Burglars look for clues and opportunities.
- Tell a trusted neighbor or two if you will be away overnight or longer. Ask them to watch your home for suspicious activity and offer to do the same.
I encourage you to pass these safety tips along to family and friends, and as always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Deputy Yesenia Holwager
