WEDNESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 10
PM EST WEDNESDAY. THIS REPLACES THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED WINTER
STORM WATCH.

* LOCATIONS...A SMALL PORTION OF NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...THE LEHIGH
VALLEY DOWN INTO SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...AT LEAST 3 TO 6 INCHES. ELEVATIONS WILL
PROBABLY HAVE HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* TIMING...PRECIPITATION...RAIN OR A RAIN SNOW WILL BEGIN NEAR
DAWN WEDNESDAY. IT WILL QUICKLY CHANGE TO PERIODS OF HEAVY WET
SNOW DURING THE MORNING AND CONTINUE DURING THE AFTERNOON BEFORE
ENDING AS FLURRIES DURING THE LATE EVENING WEDNESDAY.

* TEMPERATURES...FALLING TO NEAR FREEZING DURING THE SNOW.

* IMPACTS...ANYONE WITH HOLIDAY TRAVEL PLANS WEDNESDAY SHOULD
COMPLETE TRAVEL NO LATER THAN 7 AM WEDNESDAY TO AVOID ANY
SIGNIFICANT WEATHER RELATED DELAYS, OR TRAVEL AFTER THE ROADS
ARE CLEARED LATER WEDNESDAY NIGHT OR THURSDAY. HEAVY WET SNOW
WILL PROBABLY OBSCURE SOME ROAD SIGNS. THERE IS A CHANCE THE WET
SNOW COULD KNOCK DOWN A FEW TREE LIMBS IF IT ACCUMULATES MORE
THAN 4 INCHES ON BRANCHES AND WIRES AND RESULT IN POWER OUTAGES.
