Driver in crash that killed HCSO Dep. Valdez has been charged with intoxication manslaughter 
(HOUSTON, TX) - Kelly Jo Ivey has been charged with intoxication manslaughter on a peace officer in connection with the traffic accident that claimed the life of HCSO Dep. Jesse Valdez, III last month.
Valdez died after a vehicle driven by Ivey, 29, collided head-on with his patrol car in the 2300 block of E Wallisville Rd. on October 28, 2014.
