Jackson police have filed charges on a man and woman in connection with a Wednesday night shooting investigation.

Antwan Norman, 26, of Jackson, is wanted on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm and Erika Glenn, 26, of Jackson has been arrested for aggravated assault.

The police investigation determined that around 9:40 p.m., Erika Glenn and Gareta Trice were involved in an altercation on the parking lot of the Citgo located 588 Old Hickory Blvd. The altercation was broken up by Trice’s boyfriend, Antwan Norman. Glenn then got into a car and intentionally struck Trice on the parking lot. While the aggravated assault on Trice was still in progress, Norman fired shots at the car and struck a passenger, Glenn’s boyfriend, in the hand.

After conferring with the District Attorney’s Office, police investigators determined that Norman was acting in self-defense of Trice when he fired shots at Glenn. Norman will not be charged in the shooting; however, Norman is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.

Jackson police arrested Glenn around 3:15 p.m. today and transported her to the Madison County Jail. She is scheduled for a video arraignment at 8 a.m. Friday in Jackson City Court.

Police are still seeking Norman. He is a black male, 6’ 1” tall and weighs 180 pounds. His last known address is in Hartland Place Apartments at 550 Old Hickory Blvd. in Jackson.

Anyone with information on Norman’s whereabouts is asked to call the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477 or online at jmcrimestoppers.org.
