This morning members of the VT-ICAC to include Burlington Police, South Burlington Police, Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations, Vermont Attorney General Office and members from Home Land Investigations executed a search warrant in Burlington. The warrant was the result of a fast developing investigation started by the Burlington Police and VT-ICAC.
As a result of this investigation and subsequent search warrant Raymond Edwards, 39 of Burlington has been arrested. Edwards is being charged with Sexual Assault on a minor, possession of Child pornography, and voyeurism.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tom Nash at (802) 540-2221.
Due to the nature of these allegations and the age of the victim involved no further information is available at this time. Edwards will either be arraigned later today or tomorrow morning. As of right now there is no photograph of Edwards available. As soon as one becomes available I will pass it on to you.
