Detective charges David Willis, of Nebo, with child sex offense 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged David Wayne Willis, 30, of Muddy Creek Road in Nebo, with one felony count of first-degree sex offense of a child.
It is alleged that, on Aug. 14, Willis had inappropriate sexual contact with a 12-year-old female acquaintance.
Alkire said family members learned of the incident and reported it to the Sheriff’s Office.
