Investigators looking for culprits who stole more than $7,000 worth of items from home during two break-ins; cash reward offered

McDowell County detectives need help pinpointing the person who broke into a Nebo home twice in a little more than a year.
Rick Green, of Asheville, reported on Nov. 12 that someone broke into a residence he owns on Forest Lake Heights in Nebo, between Nov. 7 and 12 and stole more than $6,000 worth of property, including a shotgun, a front-loading washing machine and dryer, a TV, money, stereo equipment, a DVD player, assorted bottles of wine and bourbon, assorted DVDs, food items and small household decorations.
Green also reported on July 15, 2013 that someone broke into the house and took stereo equipment, a TV, a portable radio and a satellite radio docking station with a total value of $1,250.
Anyone with information concerning the crimes or suspects is asked to call Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office at 652-2237 or McDowell County Crimestoppers at 65-CRIME. With Crimestoppers, your identity remains anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward.
