Rancho Cucamonga Police and Coroner investigate the death of a man struck by a Metro Link train

INCIDENT: Metro Link Train vs. Pedestrian
LOCATION: 8th Street and Baker Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga
VICTIM: White Male Adult in his 20’s
On November 17, 2014 at approximately 3:35 p.m., Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff Deputies responded to a call of a Metro Link Train that hit a pedestrian on the railroad tracks just north of 8th street and between Baker Avenue and Vineyard Avenue. When Deputies arrived on scene, the Metro Link train had stopped just west of Vineyard Avenue. After searching the nearby area, the victim was located just north of the railroad tracks. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Coroner was called to investigate the accident and the victim has not been identified.
