HOPE Team, St. Mary's Hospital and Azusa Pacific Univ. provide free flu shots to 46 homeless & low income residents

SUMMARY:
The Sheriff's Department Homeless Outreach and Proactive Enforcement (H.O.P.E.)Team partnered with St. Mary's Hospital and the Azusa Pacific University Nursing Program to offer free flu vaccinations to homeless and low income residents in the Victorville area. The H.O.P.E. team escorted nurses and Azusa Pacific University staff into the Mojave Riverbed, County fairgrounds, and St. Joan of Arc Church. A total of 46 vaccinations were administered.
This is an ongoing collaboration with service providers in San Bernardino County to identify and move people beyond homelessness.
