CAUGHT: Wanted Double Murder Suspect

UPDATE: Danny Lee Neelys was apprehended in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico by Mexican federal agents around 10:44 a.m. Monday morning.

He was arrested in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.

Neelys, a US citizen, will be turned over to Mexican immigration authorities who will determine his eligibility for deportation back to the United States.


(HOUSTON, TX)- HCSO Homicide investigators need the public's help in locating a man wanted for the double murder of two of his relatives late Saturday night.

His name is Danny Lee Neelys. He is a 39 year-old black male, 5'10" tall, and weighing approximately 200 lbs. He's considered armed and dangerous.

He's believed to be driving a 2001 black Ford Expedition with license # AV26340.

On Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at approximately 11:30 p.m., HCSO deputies responded to a double homicide at 12651 Atwood Grove Ln. in the Northwest Park Colony Subdivision.

The suspect, identified as one of the victim's brother-in-law, Danny Lee Neelys, forced his way into the residence at gunpoint. Neelys shot and killed Keidric Jamal Jelks Sr., 42,and Keidric Jamal Jelks Jr.,15.

Neelys left the scene on foot, but is believed to be driving a 2001 black Ford Expedition, bearing Texas license plate number AV26340.

He has been charged with Capital Murder.
