The Clayton County Sheriff's Office and the Riverdale Police Department joined forces to execute two search warrants on a criminal organization. On November 13, 2014 the two agencies conducted an investigation of theft of property from the Flowers Bakery in the City of Riverdale. During this investigation they located several drivers that were stealing plastic pallets and taking them to a local recycling plant that would take the stolen items and pay the drivers for the stolen items. The Company U.S Recycle located at 7625 Southlake Pkwy. Jonesboro would then recycle the items and profit from the sale of these items. The Sheriff's office Vice Joint Task force and detectives from the Riverdale police department executed a search warrant at this location and located many more victims, one of which is the U.S. postal service, there are several more victims that are still being notified. It is believed there are over several million dollars worth of stolen items located inside of the large warehouse. A second search warrant was executed at 6074 Lynwood Dr. Forest Park at the residence of Muhammad Worthem who is believed to be the middle man between the company and the drivers. The U.S. Recycle location has been seized and is currently not operational pending placement of a mediator from the Superior court of Clayton County. The Sheriff's Office has currently made four arrests in this case and there is still one person with out standing warrants. The following persons have been arrested in this case.
