SWAT call for disturbance at 1737 Smith St

On Sunday morning at approximately 3:30 A.M. officers were dispatched to a disturbance at 1737 Smith St. involving a husband and wife involving a firearm. The wife fled the residence and advised officers that her 45 year old husband was still inside and made threats to her with a firearm. Also inside the house was another 18 year old male The husband came out of the house briefly but went back inside when he saw Officers. Attempts to contact males via telephone were unsuccessful. The Bearcat SWAT truck was deployed and repeated announcements were attempted to make contact with males inside the house. GBPD SWAT team was called out and they were eventually able to convince both males to come out of the house. The husband was arrested for 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Intoxicated person in Possession of a Firearm, Failure to Comply w/ Officers Attempt to take Person into Custody, and Disorderly Conduct. Possible charges are pending against the 18 yr old. No one was injured during the incident.
