Sullivan County—On Sunday, November 2, 2014, Kassidy Tharp of Shelburn was named Miss Indiana Teen USA 2015. She was crowned at the conclusion of the two-day Miss Indiana Teen USA and Miss Indiana USA Pageant that was held at the Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel in Carmel, IN.
Kassidy is the daughter of Chuck and Kami Tharp. A senior at Sullivan High School, Kassidy is a member of the Spanish Club, Key Club and Beta Club. She is also involved with Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity, Humane Shelter of Sullivan County, and the Boys and Girls Club of Indianapolis. Kassidy loves to sing and considers her strongest talent her vocal performances. Upon graduation from high school, Kassidy plans to obtain a degree in Chemistry and a PhD in Epidemiology.
Kassidy will represent Indiana at the Miss Teen USA 2015 Pageant.
Kassidy’s father, Chuck, is a 23-year veteran of the Indiana State Police. He currently holds the rank of Sergeant and is assigned to the department’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division.
