On Wednesday November 12th at 11:28am, APD officers were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress in the 1700 block of Walker. Upon arrival, one officer secured the front of the residence while the other went to cover the back. As the officer was pulling into the alley, he observed a blue Ford Explorer sitting in the alley with the two driver’s side doors open. The rear lift gate was also standing open. An H/M with a tan jacket and red cap standing by the explorer, but when he saw the officer, he quickly left the vehicle and went through the backyard of a residence. The officer that was covering the front of the residence caught this H/M after he climbed a fence in an attempt to escape the area. The officer in alley approached the back door he observed an H/M inside the residence wearing gloves. He ordered that male to get on the ground and placed handcuffs on him. After securing the 2nd suspect, the officer could hear noises from other areas inside the residence. After several commands for the subject to come out, he finally complied and was also taken into custody. The suspects had removed TV’s from different rooms in the house and placed them by the back door along with video game consoles and video games. All three were arrested and transported to the Potter County Correction Center. Elijah Lee Castillo H/M 17 was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and a local municipal warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Jonathan Colin H/M 18 was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and two local Justice of the Peace warrants; and Elvis Arturo Perez was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of Marijuana under 2 ounces. The property was left with the homeowner and the Ford Explorer was later impounded.
