Victorville - Two suspects arrested for Robbery and a Hate Crime - a third suspect remains outstanding

LOCATION: Mall Blvd. X Petaluma Rd., Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Ethan Walker, 23 Yrs old, Victorville, Robert Fraire, 22 Yrs old, Victorville, 17 Yr old male
VICTIM(S): 34 year old male
SUMMARY: On October 28, 2014, deputies responded to the area of Mall Boulevard and Petaluma Road in the City of
Victorville regarding a robbery and an assault that had occurred. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the victim had been assaulted in the drainage wash in the area and his wallet and cell phone taken by force. It was also determined the victim had been
beaten in the attack by several suspects and homosexual slurs were used while assaulting the victim.
The victim had met Ethan Walker prior to the attack and a friendship developed. The victim later asked Walker to have
coffee and Walker asked the victim if he was gay. The suspect began to yell at the victim and the conversation ended. The
following day, Walker called the victim and apologized, asking the victim if he was going to walk to work the following
day, October 28th. Walker told the victim that he would walk him to work and they planned to meet in the area of Mall
Boulevard and Petaluma Road. The victim and the suspect met at the location, the victim was attacked by suspects
Walker, Frare and the 17 year old male. The suspects used rocks, and a 2 x 4 board and bottles causing numerous injuries
to the victim.
Fraire and the 17 year old male have been arrested and a warrant for Walker has been issued. Anyone with information
