Patrol Officers arrest three for a concealed handgun, stolen vehicle and robbery warrant after pursuit in Pomona
On November 11th 2014, at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers of the Pomona Police Department observed a pickup truck leaving a local supermarket with an occupant in the bed of the truck. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle but it sped away and would not pull over. Officers pursued the vehicle into the Phillips Ranch area of Pomona, where the driver and five passengers surrendered without incident. It was discovered that the occupants of the vehicle had just stolen alcohol from the supermarket. The vehicle they were in had previously been reported stolen out of Chino Hills. The driver was subsequently arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle and evading police. One of the passengers was found to be in possession of a concealed handgun and was also arrested. An additional passenger was arrested for an outstanding robbery warrant. The remaining three passengers were released to their respective legal guardians.
