The Sheboygan Police Department will again be conducting underage verification and identification checks of businesses that sell and serve alcohol.  In 2013, the Sheboygan Police Department conducted the Under 21 Program and initially encountered several violations.  Through education and enforcement, further verification and identification  checks resulted in a decrease in the same type of violations.         

The UNDER 21 program's purpose is to prevent and protect minors from obtaining alcohol while assisting businesses in minimizing attempts by minors to illegally obtain alcohol. This program benefits the community by pro-actively preventing alcohol related problems and crimes in our community, especially before the holiday season.  The Sheboygan Police Department and the Tavern Safety Coalition continue to work towards providing a responsible environment.
