The Thanksgiving Food Drive is a tradition in the Township of Ocean. Schools, businesses, public employees, families and neighbors all work together to insure that those who are needy in our community know that they are remembered by receiving a food basket for the holiday.The Community Hope Fund and the Department of Human Services are proud to assist in the coordination of this community effort.

Donating a complete “basket” in early November to accommodate a family of 4 to 6 persons can provide assistance. Volunteers are also needed to deliver prepared “baskets” on the Sunday before Thanksgiving (November 23). Any and all assistance would be appreciated. The non-perishable items below (in quantities for a family of 4 to 6) assist in providing a holiday meal and food for subsequent meals. Any additional items would also be appreciated but please note that only items that have a shelf life should be included.

- Cookies/Fruit Snacks

- Soups

**Please check the expiration dates on all food items to
assure the very best quality for our recipients.**

If you would like to donate money to support those in need and or provide gift certificates to be used to purchase a turkey or other perishable items and for emergency aid in the months to follow, please make checks payable to “Community Hope Fund”.
