Press Release: Man Charged with Criminal Mischief

ACCUSED: Jonathan Straccia age 24, Oakhurst NJ
OFFICERS INVOLVED: Officer Luke Sciallo and Detective Michael Melody
NARRATIVE:
On 10/5/14 at approximately 11:43 am, Officer Luke Sciallo responded to the Guitar Center, Seaview Mall, after employees reported a large picture window had been broken sometime in the overnight hours by an unknown subject. The value of the replacement window was over $1800. A follow up investigation by Detective Michael Melody revealed that Jonathan Straccia, who was an employee of a neighboring retail store, threw a paver brick through the window causing the damage.
Mr. Straccia was charged with one count of criminal mischief and was released on a complaint summons and scheduled to appear at a future court hearing.
