Wabash Valley Trio Arrested on I-70 for Drugs
Putnam County—Last evening at approximately 9:36, Indiana State Police Trooper Yan Dravigne stopped a 1994 Dodge pickup for a defective license plate light in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near the 42 mile marker. During discussion with the three nervous occupants, Dravigne noticed what appeared to be an odor of Marijuana inside the vehicle and other indicators of criminal activity. While conducting a search of the pickup, Dravigne located a false compartment in the dashboard area. Inside the false compartment were (10) grams of Marijuana, a .38 caliber handgun, and (9) ounces of crystal meth. Estimated street value of the crystal meth is $10,000. Estimated street value of the Marijuana is less than $100.
Arrested Driver: Brandon Ross, age 32, of Rockville, IN.
Arrested Passenger: Daniel Keller, age 27, of Montezuma, IN
Arrested Passenger: Meghan Hambright, age 23, Terre Haute, IN.
Held in Putnam County Jail.
Preliminary Charges for All Three Suspects: Dealing Methamphetamine (felony)
Possession of Methamphetamine (felony)
Possession of Marijuana (misdemeanor)
Possession of Handgun w/o License (misdemeanor)
Additionally, Meghan Hambright was wanted on a Probation Violation warrant from Vigo County and Ross was cited for no valid license.
Assisting were Trooper Kyle Hall and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
