Marion teen charged with statutory rape; met 14-year-old victim on Internet 
Detective Lynn Greene of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Nathaniel Adam Laws, 19, of Quail Hollow Drive in Marion, with felony statutory rape.
Laws met a 14-year-old girl on the Internet.
Greene said the suspect and victim met in person in late October or early November, and allegedly there was inappropriate sexual contact between the two.
