Canyon Country West, Zone 7, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information. Snapshot for 10/27/2014 to 11/02/2014.

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

A robbery occurred near the 19200 block of Soledad Canyon Road.  While the victim was unloading her shopping cart in the above addresses parking lot she was approached by the suspect who snatched her purse from the cart she was unloading.  A witness gave chase to the suspect, but was unable to apprehend him.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

An aggravated assault occurred near the 16700 block of Gazeley Street.  During a landlord tenant dispute the suspect pointed a gun at the victim stating the living conditions on the property were unlivable.  Deputies were called and the suspect was arrested.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A residential burglary occurred near the 19800 block of Sandpiper Place.  Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victims detached garage and stole items from within.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.

A commercial burglary occurred near the 26400 block of Ruether Avenue.  Person(s) unknown shattered the locations from window and stole 4 laptops from within.  This incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station detectives.
