Bunker Hill Woman Injured in Miami County Crash

Denver – This morning at approximately 11:16 a.m., officers from the Indiana State Police and the Miami County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash on U.S. 31 at State Road 16, which injured a Miami County woman.

The preliminary crash investigation by Indiana State Police Sergeant T.J. Zeiser revealed Judy Hyde, 58, Bunker Hill, IN, was driving a 2012 Dodge Caliber westbound on State Road 16. Hyde stopped for a stop sign at U.S. 31, and then proceeded to cross the northbound lanes of U.S. 31. The Dodge struck a northbound 2012 Kenworth straight truck. The Kenworth was driven by Jeffrey Crossman, 54, Greenfield, IN.

Hyde was transported by ambulance to Dukes Memorial Hospital with a complaint of pain. Crossman was not injured. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt which Sergeant Zeiser believes helped prevent more serious injuries in the crash.

At this time, neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to this crash.

Sergeant Zeiser was assisted at the crash scene by ISP Lt. Jeremy Kelley, Senior Trooper Ron Fisher, and Master Trooper Joe Swisher.
