Today, November 5, 2014 at 1143 hours, the West Covina Police Department received a call of a robbery that had just occurred in the parking lot of the Burger King Restaurant located at 245 N. Citrus Avenue, West Covina. It was reported that 2 male suspects may have victimized at least two subjects in that parking lot. One possible victim may have left in an older orange pickup truck occupied by a male Hispanic. The suspects were described as male Hispanics, both wearing black shirts and pants.
Officers responding to the scene located the two suspects still at the location. One suspect was immediately taken into custody without incident. The second suspect fled on foot toward the car dealership located next to the restaurant. After a perimeter was set up, a search was conducted for the suspect who was located and arrested. This suspect was transported to a local hospital for treatment for cuts sustained while jumping over the razor wire fencing around an auto dealership lot.
The suspects arrested have not yet been identified. No weapons were found.
