Project Lifesaver training has begun. You may observe a helicopter in flight over the Village. No need to be alarmed. 
Today, Tuesday November 4th between 1pm and 4pm in and over the confines of Mt Kisco, WCDPS personnel consisting of the aviation unit & WCDPS Police Personnel will conduct training / recertification as it pertains to operation "Project Lifesaver". It is likely residents will observe the helicopter in flight. There is no need to be alarmed as it is part of the training.
Project Lifesaver is a tracking system WCDPS personnel have used since 2008. Project Lifesaver is offered to families and caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s, autism and other similar special needs. Due to the circumstances of their condition, these special needs persons may have a tendency to wander away from home. By enrolling in the program, a Project Lifesaver client is equipped with a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. If the client wanders from home, caregivers can call 911 and trained WCDPS personnel equipped with special receivers will respond to locate the client.
