Juveniles Make Fake 9-1-1 Call
(Etowah County, Alabama) Two Hokes Bluff High School students will be facing the consequences for making a fake 9-1-1 call, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
Glencoe High School was placed on a brief lockdown after two female students, from Hokes Bluff, called 9-1-1 giving bogus information. The incident happened today, October 31, at 11:10 a.m.
The phony information prompted a full law enforcement response to the high school.
“At no time were any students or faculty in danger during this incident,” Sheriff Entrekin said. “These two students will face the consequence for the poor judgment they made today.”
The callers have been released into the custody of their parents.
