***UPDATE: October 30, 2014*** Mr. Baker died at 10:57am today due to injuries sustained in the collision.
On October 29, 2014 at approximately 6:05 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle collision in the 1500 block of Air Port Drive. Upon their arrival they discovered a 2011 Chevy Equinox had struck a trailer being pulled by a 2009 International Tractor. The driver of the Equinox, William Duncan Baker, WM, 9/27/50 of Amarillo was transported to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the International, Carlos Arturo Carrillo, WM, 58 of Nogales, AZ. was uninjured. Speed is a factor in this collision. The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Dept.
