Road Closures for "Parade of Planes" 
On Thursday, October 30, nearly 80 planes will taxi under their own power on city streets from the Palm Springs Airport to the Convention Center. They will return to the airport on Sunday, November 2 as part of the Flying Aviation Expo being held at the Palm Springs Convention Center. To accommodate this “Parade of Planes”, various streets will be closed to accommodate this event.
Closed Thursday, October 30 from 8:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m:
-Alejo Road from the airport to Avenida Caballeros
-Avenida Caballeros from Alejo Road south to Margarita’s
-Amado from Avenida Caballeros to Calle Alvarado
-Calle Alvarado from Amado south past the Convention Center
The parade is expected to begin at 10 a.m. and will last approximately 2 hours. The streets will reopen at approximately 1 p.m.
Closed Sunday, November 2 beginning at 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The same streets will be closed so the planes can return to the airport. The parade is expected to start at 2 p.m. and last approximately 2 hours. The streets will reopen at approximately 5 p.m.
