In recent days, the Chicagoland area has experienced an increase in daytime residential burglaries. Communities close to the Village of Frankfort have reported these same types of crimes. The Frankfort Police Department would like to remind residents to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity. There has not been a specific offending vehicle or suspect in these incidents. We ask that everyone be vigilant when leaving or arriving at their residence for the presence of suspicious vehicles or people in the area. Please also report any people soliciting for good or services; the Village of Frankfort has an ordinance prohibiting door to door solicitations without first registering with the police department. Again, we value the partnership we have with the community and thank you for assistance in keeping Frankfort safe.
