Fifth Third Bank located at 66 Kercheval was robbed by a lone subject shortly after 11:00a.m. Suspect is described as a black male, approximately five foot eight, 30-35 years old. Suspect was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, and white baseball cap with an English “D”. Suspect left bank on foot and fled across Kercheval Avenue toward the alley, unknown direction from there. Suspect is still outstanding and possibly fled in a vehicle. No one was harmed during this incident.
Richard Elementary School and Grosse Pointe South High School were temporarily put on "Lock Down" while police searched the area. Lock down lasted approximately thirty minutes.
Grosse Pointe Farms Detectives along with the F.B.I. are currently investigating this incident.
