INCIDENT: Kidnapping/ Assault with Intent to Commit Rape/ Carjacking

LOCATION: Beech Ave./ Merrill Ave. Fontana

SUSPECT: Jesus Alberto Bouchot, 19 years of age, resident of Fontana

VICTIM(S): Confidential female, 21 years old


SUMMARY:
On October 27, 2014, at about 11:30 p.m., a female victim was driving through a parking lot of a strip mall near the area of Beech and Meriil Avenues in Fontana. A Hispanic male entered the victim's vehicle and held a knife to the victim's throat. The male suspect ordered the victim to drive to a residence in Fontana where he attempted to rape her at knifepoint. The victim struggled with the suspect and she was able to take away the knife and run away from the vehicle to seek help. The suspect was last seen driving away in the victim's vehicle. Fontana Station deputies identified the suspect as Jesus Bouchot of Fontana. Detectives initiated an extensive investigation and coordinated a surveillance of Bouchot’s residence. Detectives spotted Bouchot at his residence and attempted to contact him. With the assistance of Sheriff's Aviation, deputies took Bouchot into custody after he attempted to flee. Bouchot was booked into the the West Valley Detention Center for Kidnapping, Assault with Intent to Rape, and Carjacking and bail is set at $425,000.

A photo of Bouchot is being released as Detectives believe he may be tied to recent similar sexual assaults where the suspect attempted to rape female victims.
