Multiple Agencies now assisting the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office in the search for missing person, Marvin Jones
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office is still actively searching for missing person, Marvin Jones, with the volunteers from our SAR Team. The Command Post has been established at Sunset Beach, the last known location for Marvin. We received much appreciated assistance from various other search teams.
Mutual Aid is being provided by Marin, Napa, San Mateo Counties’ Search and Rescue Teams. There are four search dogs from the California Rescue Dog Association (CARDA). Our volunteer dive team is getting into the River and the Sheriff’s Office Marine is providing kayaks.
Marvin has been missing for five days. His car was located at Sunset Beach parking lot in Forestville with his personal belongings left locked inside.
Marvin Jones is described as a 53 year old, white, male, with brownish-grey hair and brown eyes. He stands 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He has numerous tattoos, many of which are visible. It is not known what he was wearing when he went missing.
