Castaic and Val Verde, Zone 2, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Information. Snapshot 10/20/2014-10/26/2014.

The following crimes were reported in Zone 2, Castaic/Val Verde.

There was a domestic violence reported from the 27000 block of Violin Canyon.  During an argument the suspect struck his partner with a broom stick causing a small laceration.  The suspect was arrested and the victim refused medical attention.  Both parties had been consuming alcohol prior to the incident.        

A residential burglary was reported from the 27000 block of Villa Canyon.  The victim believes a friend who he owes money to entered his room and took two lap tops and an Apple I-pod.    

A theft from a vehicle was reported from the 31000 block of The Old Road.  The suspect entered the victim’s 5th wheel trailer through a side window and stole a TV and two handheld radios. 

Please remember to be safe this Halloween.  Children should be accompanied by adults while “Trick or Treating”, bright clothing and flashlights should be used to increase pedestrian visibility, and remember to always use crosswalks or corners to cross the streets. 

Come join the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for the 2nd annual “SCV 10-33 Benefit Ride and Car Show” Saturday November 1st, 9am-3pm.  This event will be benefiting a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Deputy’s son who is suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).  This event is a police escorted motorcycle ride from Harley Davidson of Glendale to Castaic Lake Recreation Center.  For more information regarding motorcycle check in or car show check in please visit http://www.scv10-33.com of in Facebook under SCV 10-33.  Hope to see everyone there.
