The San Luis Obispo Police Department would like to remind everyone that the Safety Enhancement Zone will be in affect Thursday, October 30th at 12:01 am to Monday, November 3rd at 7:00 am. During the Safety Enhancement Zone time frame all fines for the following violations are doubled:
• Possession of Open Container of Alcohol
• Noise Violations
• Unruly Gatherings
• Urination in Public
• Possession of Dangerous Weapons
The entire city of San Luis Obispo is affected by this Safety Enhancement Zone with the minimum fine set at $700.
During this timeframe the Police Department will have maximum deployment of its officers for strict enforcement of any violations and will have the assistance of several other law enforcement agencies including the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Department, Cal Poly Police Department, Santa Maria Police Department and the Paso Robles Police Department.
