APD arrest woman on evading charges and 2 outstanding Endangering a Child warrants. Additional charges are pending.

On Monday night, 10-27-14, at about 11:15pm an Officer tried to stop a vehicle in the area of NW 9th and N. Florida.  The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and a short chase ensued.  The driver and other occupants of the car abandoned the car in front of 210 N. Virginia.  They were chased through the back yard and the driver was caught.  The other occupants, 3 unknown males, got away.  The driver of the vehicle, Ashleigh Daniels, 25 yoa, was booked for evading in a motor vehicle, evading on foot, two warrants out of Potter County for endangering a child, and one local traffic warrant.  The car, a red, Honda Civic, had been reported stolen out of Dumas last week.  Additional charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Identifying Information charges are pending. A dog in the back yard attacked an Officer and the Officer was afraid the dog was going to attack the female.  The Officer fired two rounds at the dog stopping the attack.  The dog did not survive.  No one else was injured in this incident.
