Full Notification

Human remains found in Chickasha Friday afternoon have been identified. The identity of the person will be released to the public once next of kin is notified of the death.

A person mowing grass Friday near 4th and Frisco along Line Creek found what appeared to be human remains. Chickasha police responded to the scene and requested OSBI investigative and crime scene assistance.

The OSBI Latent Evidence Unit was able to lift a fingerprint from the body and make identification through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System. The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death. Currently, the OSBI is investigating this death as suspicious.
