Pedestrian Involved In Fatal Traffic Collision 
On October 26, 2014, at approximately 7:24 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Hollywood Way and Victory Boulevard.
A 76-year-old female resident of Burbank was walking eastbound on Victory Boulevard crossing Hollywood Way when she was struck by a delivery van, driven by a 51-year-old male resident of Burbank.
The driver of the delivery van was making a right-hand turn from southbound Hollywood Way to westbound Victory Boulevard.
Burbank Police Department & Burbank Fire Department personnel were on-scene within minutes of the collision.
Paramedics treated the female pedestrian and transported her to the Los Angeles County Medical Center; however, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The identity of the deceased female is being withheld pending notification of her family by the Coroner.
The investigation into this collision is ongoing, so determinations relative to the cause are still pending.
