Heartland Fire & Rescue crews assisted by San Diego Fire & Rescue, are on the scene of a residential structure fire in the 6700 block of Rolando Knolls Drive in La Mesa. Upon arrival, crews discovered a residential structure with heavy fire and smoke coming from the front of the building in the garage. The fire was under in control in 20 minutes and crews will be on scene for approximately 2 hours. Seven adults have been displaced and will be assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
